For setup instructions, see any of the following:

Set up a family member’s device

If you’re part of a Family Sharing group, you can use Find My to help find and protect any family member’s device. Their devices appear below yours in the Devices list in Find My.

Each family member must set up their devices to share their locations with other family members. See the Apple Support article Share your location with your family.

You can’t add friends’ devices to your Devices list. Friends who lose a device can go to icloud.com/find and sign in with their AppleID.
