How did Madara defeat Hashirama during the war arc?,I thought Hashirama was supposed to be more powerful than Madara
Not only did he take on Hashirama but he also took on Naruto and still won but then people on Quora say that Hashirama would win if they were to fight in their edo forms and revived forms and even if Madara had a rinnegan
Im very confused can some one explain how Madara defeated both Hashirama and Naruto then absorbed Hashirama?
the battle between Madara with ems and hashirama prime almost ended in a draw but hashirama stabbed madara from behind killing him but madara already knew he would stab him from behind so he used izanagi. After that madara got hashirama cells and rinnegan making him stronger than hashirama. by Getting hashirama cells he had all chakra natures, wood style and rinnegan. So madara was able to defeat edo hashirama who was weaker than prime hashirama at that time naruto didn't have so6p so compared to madara he was really weak.
Madara not only defeated hashirama and naruto but also sasuke, tobirama and the tailed beasts that too after he defeated the 5 kage and shinobi alliance.

However, it is worth noting that an Alive Rinnegan Madara would have access to Limbo:Border Jail, and is unknown if Hashirama could perceive them.
