Earlier today I was on a thread about Madara vs Itachi. Its very much obvious that Madara would stomp Itachi in almost all variations of the fight. But one thing that stuck out to me was the fact that a lot of people were still stating that Kishi said in an interview that Itachi could beat Madara and that is why he killed him, This is simply not true as the interview does not exist. Plus people fail to see that Itachi was brought back in the war anyways. Itachi simply could not beat Madara for a lot of reasons.
1: Madara had superior dojutsu.
2:Madara is more skillfull and faster than itachi
3: madara has superior stamina
4: madara has superior fighting experience
5: madara can use wood clones which can use susanoo
6: madara develops the rennigan
7: madara had susanoo and attacks that could overwhelm the yata mirror
8: madara wasnt sick and literally dying
I could go on and on based on all his forms. so can we please move on from that "interview". This all may seem obvious to some of you but i have seen people still bring it up so I just wanted to end it

Saying you underestimated someone does not equate to retracting a previous statement. Because the 8th Gate was necessary to fight Madara, even if Itachi were equal to 7 gates Guy he would still be fodderised by Six Paths Madara. Itachi Uchiha for most of the series was sick, going blind from MS and his stamina levels were appalling. Madara when physically introduced to the series is an Edo Tensei meaning he has infinite chakra and can regenerate from any attack Itachi throws at him. The only way Itachi could stand a chance is using the Blade to seal Madara however Madara has greater mobility than both Orochimaru and Nagato did. Not to mention unlike Orochimaru he is not physically attached to his Susanoo meaning even if Itachi's Blade reached Madara's Susanoo it would not seal him. Plus Madara's Perfect Susanoo makes Itachi's Final Susanoo look like a joke, not only does it have legs and is far bigger than Itachi's but it also has wings so it can fly similarly to Sasuke's Perfect Susanoo.
Now say we gave Itachi his Perfect Susanoo from Storm 4, Itachi may stand an actual chance against Madara however it should be noted that Madara also has Wood Style, Rinnegan and overall a far greater versatile arsenal than Itachi.
So the final verdict is this and I am only going to say it once: Edo Itachi Uchiha with a Perfect Susanoo would be able to defeat EMS alive Madara and maybe if you stretch it Edo Madara though that's not 100% certain. Anything beyond Edo Madara is an instant stomp i.e. Rinnegan Madara and Juubi Madara would destroy Itachi no diff.

^^ completely ignoring everything I explained earlier and even the supernatural word meaning . Lol . Kabuto said " Itachi , you're the most suitable edo tensei ." And also " you have many powers which could've stopped this war ." And also guy's statement which sums up that itachi could easily take on madara with his speed and taijutsu and MS jutsus .

Welp I tried to reason with this Itachi fanboy but clearly his hard on for the character stops him from engaging in any form of common sense hence why he relies solely on the word 'supernatural' because he doesn't actually have anything that resembles an actual argument. I'll let the rest of you try to talk some sense and actual factual information into them but as for me I find that there is no more entertainment to be had here.
Oh and as a side note I didn't ignore everything you said, it's just because everything you said was utterly incorrect in every conceivable way and was actually an unforgivable bastardisation of Kishimoto's work as you deliberately twisted or ignored most if not all what you cherry picked from his story. On top of that I don't think you actually understand what makes Itachi such a good character but then again most Itachi fanboys ironically never do. Itachi is such an attractive character because he acknowledges his flaws and weaknesses, thus your attempts to wank him off into this OP version of him you have in your head fall utterly short of anything I could possibly consider a competent comprehension of the character. Madara stomps Itachi, get over it.

Lmao someone try reason , with this biased guy up here , telling I'm bastardising kishimoto's work , while you're the one who percieve everything in a bastardised way of kishimoto's work . Since you're all talk and no walk , no need to dpend my time arguing with someone like you lol . What should we expect of madara fanboys? They think madara can stomp itachi with those supernatural weapons which doesn't have limits like you say , since kishimoto himself chose not to give it limits . But if you say it has limits and madara's puny senjutsu can overcome it , then go on .... I cant stop you from riding madara's dick since you're kinda incapable of agreeing to manga . Keep on disagreeing since that'd prove how much loyalty you've to madara . Shame . You're so butt hurt , your whole paragraph proves it lol . Lmao what should supernatural mean anyway? Is it your pet name? Lol , if the author chose to put that word , you've no right to retract it . Madara vs Itachi is a nonsense match. Itachi character was never fully develop. It's the same than compare Sarada and Itachi. Sarada is a kid and Itachi is an adult. With this match it's the same thing Itachi just Ms and his fate is death.And Madara Ems (take little Brother eye) Rinnengan + Wood release (take Hashirama Dna) Rinnen-Sharingan (Take Djubii Divine tree etc).

In other words, you're comparing matchup worthiness with character devolopment? Is that an excuse or is there any hidden relevance in that? I can agree that with feats alone , madara can win . But with overall manga fact compilation , itachi wins . That's all there is to it . Just a question , is there any law that says " If anyone tries debating itachi , try maximum with your 3rd grade insults and stun his debate arguments with full force "? Like seriously lol , something's definitely wrong here , ya'll seem fixated on madara so much , it's quite irritating .

English is my second language. I know this is an old post but people will be coming here in 2069 too. What you are doing wrong is looking at the matter with a perspective that rather belongs to Dragonball than Naruto. There, if a character is stronger than another character, then the match is decided but this does not apply to Itachi vs Madara match up. I said stronger because obviously Madara has much more toys in his arsenal than Itachi, however, the reason for this is Madara's undoubdetly higher lust and need for power than Itachi and also the fact that Itachi has never considered Madara as a threat because they lived in different eras. If they had lived in the same era and Itachi had felt the need to defeat Madara, he would've possibly find a way. Still, this is not an answer to the question that is who would win a straigt up 1v1. I would say, if we teleport them to an arena, 10 tails Madara and prime Itachi, Madara would win but in another occasion where Itachi is still alive in the great war and has his time to observe and plan a strategy, he would have the biggest potential to defeat Madara among other ninjas because one does not simply outgenius Itachi.

I see all these comments about madara v itachi and all of you are going on about 10 tails madara and how he has wood style aswell as infinite chakra. the only reason he has all of this sh*t is because of 1. Kabuto (mixing hashirama senju's cells with his) aswell obito aswell for majing ut all happen. You all seem to forget that he cancelled his contract with the jitsu not only that itachi had infinite chakra aswell. Cancelling out all the 4th war sh*t the boosts that madara had if it came to it normal madara v itachi itachi takes him. Yeah madara has perfect suasnoo and all his other sh*t but it only takes a little time for itachi figure out his genius. I dont even think it would be a physical fight anyway i believe it would be a sharigan war in which itachi has a far better arsenal than madara amaterasu for instance madara doesnt have that nor can he use it. Dont get me wrong i dont discount madara either he is a different breed but this is just my personality opinion.
By the way madara did f*cking learn rennigan he only got it because he had the 10 tails in him. The same way sasuke got it was from 5he sage of 6 paths he didnt wake up one day with f*cking rinnegan it dont work like that especially when the last person of that bloodline was nagato and he ended up dying.

This is just bull erthing i see on here, even kishimoto made it clear in the series. Flashback when sasuke defeated itachi mind you before y'all itachi fan boys nail me ik he let sasuke win but naruto defeated pain too obito who both knew the two Akatsuki members said naruto is stronger than sasuke because he beat pain, do the maths yourself that means pain > itachi and we all know madara far surpases
What i still cant wrap my head around is y'all itachi fan boys know madara with only MS was giving hashirama a run for his money, y'all tryna to say itachi who minato would wipe the floor with can stand up to madara, who survived wars with the shinobi god common guys lets be logical
