Did you know there is a quick and easy way to create a screen shot of your iPad with the flick of your Apple Pencil or finger? True story.
In this post, I’m going to show you how to set up your iPad to create these magical screen grabs, and how to create them.
Setting Up Your iPad
First, and foremost, head to the Settings app on your iPad. From there, go to General and locate Gestures.
At the very bottom, choose whether you want to swipe from the bottom left or bottom right corner of your iPad and under the drop down menu choose, “Screenshot.”
I will note, it also has an option to turn on “Allow Finger to Swipe From Corner” but, even without mine on, it allows for that… soooo, not entirely certain why that’s there.
Once Screenshot is turned on, you’re all set to create one! Let’s do that next…
Creating Your Screenshot
Creating your screenshot is as easy as a swipe of your Apple Pencil, stylus, or finger from whichever corner you chose in Settings.
In the video above, I am slowly dragging in from the bottom left corner, which begins to create the screenshot. To create the screenshot, I swipe quickly from the corner, and you will see bounding boxes form around the corners of the shot.
From there, you can mark up your screenshot, using the tools provided.
If you click the plus sign on the Editor, you will be given additional options to add text, a description, your signature, a magnifier and shapes.
When you’re done, you can send it via the Share icon at the top right. When you hit Done, you will also be given the opportunity to save it to the Photos app on your iPad.
