Dear @EarthLink: Having to call every day for a week only to be lied to about sending a technician for the modem before admitting on Day 5 they never dispatched anyone & don’t intend to, all while charging a monthly modem fee, is really bad business.Time to shop for new ISP?
Patrick Murray (@NPRPatrick) reported fromLos Angeles, California
Hi @EarthLink I’d been on the phone for 45 mins trying to add a static IP to my 1Gb fiber service. I was transferred 4x for being in the wrong dept. The last agent said I need a new installation of fiber to upgrade to static IP. Somehow I think that’s not correct. So what is?

@EarthLink is the only reason any of us are still using this service because we can’t bear the thought of having to advise our contacts that we’ve switched to gmail? Maybe it’s time to bite the bullet.

Yeshua-Jesussaves (@spreadthemesg) reported
@EarthLink Thank you for the update. I have been with Earthlink over 15 years and this is the one and only time I have ever had a service disruption. My emails have never been hacked either. This is why I pay to keep my email. I know yall are working hard. No one wants angry customers. ♥
Grant Daniel (@bdan777) reported
@EarthLink After years as a customer, I am looking at other more reliable email providers. Why pay a monthly fee for lousy service.
Kenneth A. Vatz (@KenV54) reported
@EarthLink email is down again. Happens every other month or so. Given what they charge for webmail, and with limited storage, time to switch to iCloud or add another Gmail account. It’s a major pain, but the time has come. Long overdue. #Earthlink
Scott Klinger (@ScottKlinger1) reported
.@EarthLink is having massive day-long outages on a nearly monthly basis. I am wondering why I should continue to pay $6 a month, for an unreliable service, when so many others offering email for free?
