In all, Paramount+ features around 30,000 shows from CBS, Comedy Central, Paramount Network, BET, MTV, VH1, and other channels, and hundreds of movies from the Paramount Pictures library. It's a lot like CBS All Access, plus more.

Paramount+ features a “Brands” section that includes seven of the biggest Paramount-owned channels: CBS, SHOWTIME, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, MTV, BET, and Smithsonian Channel.

Paramount+ with SHOWTIME is the only Paramount+ plan with no commercials (except on certain livestreams). Paramount+ Essential, on the other hand, has plenty of commercials.

Is Paramount+ worth it? Simply put, yes, we think Paramount+ is worth it. If you're subscribing to Paramount+ because you gave your cable company a "Dear John" letter ages ago and want to stream the 2024 Super Bowl, you'll likely find yourself sticking around long past your seven-day free trial has passed.

The $6 a month Essential plan is the most affordable and gives you access to Paramount Plus shows and movies with limited commercials, as well as NFL on CBS, top soccer games and CBS live news. Or you can upgrade to the $12 a month Paramount Plus and Showtime bundle.

Is Paramount+ free with Amazon Prime? ›

People who have an existing Amazon Prime Video subscription can choose from a variety of featured channels to watch from, including Paramount Plus. Unfortunately, it is not one of the free services offered, but there is a way to test it without getting charged.

As of August 20, 2024, the prices of our monthly Paramount+ plans have increased for new customers. New subscribers will pay $7.99/month for the monthly Essential plan or $12.99/month for the monthly Paramount+ with SHOWTIME plan.
