Call of Duty Black Ops III's Campaign and Multiplayer features a total of 31 weapons and 13 pieces of equipment. These same weapons and a few of the equipment are also available in the Zombies mode with additional weapons exclusive to select Zombies maps.
All weapons fall under one of 10 different weapon and equipment classes: Submachine Guns, Assault Rifles, Shotguns, Light Machine Guns, Sniper Rifles, Pistols, Launchers, Specials, Lethals, and Tactials. These classes are selected within four slots while creating a custom loadout: Primary, Secondary, Lethal, and Tactical.
To unlock a weapon in the Multiplayer, you must first reveal it by reaching a set Level and Rank, then an Unlock Token (Multiplayer) or Fabrication Kit (Campaign) must be used to make it available in all loadouts. Optics and Attachments / Weapon Levels
All weapons – with the exception of Launchers and Specials, and not including equipment – can hold a variety of Weapon Optics and Attachments. These Attachments are unlocked through weapon levels. Weapon levels are reached by scoring kills or assists with a weapon. At max level, the weapon can prestige and unlock Clan tags and Kill Counters on the weapon. Gunsmith
In addition to all known weapons, a new Gunsmith mode is available in Black Ops III. Gunsmith allows players to create variants with select attachments, special camos, and custom logos and paint jobs. However, this feature will only be available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
Specialists
All nine Specialists in Black Ops III will have their very own special weapon and ability unique to their Callsign. These weapons and abilities are not listed here. See the Specialists page for more info.
Each Primary Weapon can hold three accessories: One in the optic slot and two in the Attachments slot. A third, fourth, and fifth attachment can be added with the Primary Gunfighter Wildcards.

The only Secondary Weapon that can hold accessories are the Pistols. They can hold two accessories: One in the optic slot and one in the attachments slot. A second attachment can be added with the Secondary Gunfighter Wildcard.
