A new Vivillon Collector Medal is available for an avid Pokemon Go medal hunter just like you! With the debut of Scatterbug and its evolutions, Spewpa and Vivillon in Pokemon Go, you can catch and evolve Scatterbug by pinning Postcards from all over the world!
Pin one Postcard to unlock the Vivillon Collector Medal in your Medals collection. This enables you to catch Scatterbugs from all over the world by pinning Postcards from Friends in different regions. Collecting Scatterbug from different regions will unlock sub-medals for each regional Vivillon type.

How to Collect Vivillon Collector Sub Medals
You will start collecting sub-medals of the Vivillon Collector Medal every time you catch a Scatterbug from a new region with a new pattern. Each sub-medal tracks the progress of a specific Vivillon pattern.
You can progress these sub-medals by encountering more Scatterbugs of each pattern. Each time you make progress in a sub-medal, the amount of Postcards required to pin in order to earn a Scatterbug encounter is increased:

How to Pin a Postcard
Postcards are collected whenever you receive a Gift by visiting a Pokestop or Gym and spinning the disc. When you receive a Gift from a friend, you can pin the Postcard that comes along with the Gift to add it to your Postcard Book.
Just press the "Pin" button to the right of the "Open" button, found below the Postcard itself.

How to View Your Vivillon Collector Medal Progress
To view your progress in collecting Scatterbugs to evolve into Vivillon:
- Press your Player icon in the bottom left corner.
- Scroll down through the "Me" menu until you find the Medals section.
- Select the Butterfly icon to open your Vivillon Collector Medal.
- If you have not redeemed this Medal yet, it will be at the bottom of the Medals section.
- Navigate to the sub-medals section beneath the World Map.
- Select a sub-medal to view a Vivillon Type pattern and see your current collection progress.

How to Get Platinum Vivillon Collector Medal
A Platinum version of the Vivillon Collector Medal can be earned by completing all the Vivillon Collector sub-medals. To complete all sub-medals, you must evolve a Scatterbug to a Vivillon of each of the 18 patterns.
To evolve all Vivillon patterns for the Platinum Vivillon Collector Medal, you will need a total of 2500 Scatterbug Candy.
