Switch to OCBC OneToken to enjoy hassle-free banking.

OCBC OneToken is a digital token that can be used to authenticate and authorise transactions made via the OCBC app or Internet Banking, and certain online card payments. It is securely integrated into the OCBC app on your mobile device.

You can use OCBC OneToken – instead of hardware tokens or SMS One-Time Passwords (OTPs) – to protect yourself against unauthorised digital transactions.

BENEFITS OF USING OCBC ONETOKEN

Make banking simpler

Seamlessly log in and authorise transactions without the need for a hardware token or SMS One-Time Password (OTP). Transactions made using the OCBC app are authorised in the background, while those made using OCBC Internet Banking can be authorised in a few taps.

Enjoy enhanced security

Integrated with the OCBC app and protected by your mobile device's screen lock (e.g. biometric or PIN), OCBC OneToken lets you authorise high-risk transactions on the go.

Conveniently authorise online payments

Authorise online card payments by tapping on a push notification. Once you activate OCBC OneToken, we will not send you SMS OTPs unless verification involving OCBC OneToken on your device is needed.

Activate OCBC OneToken

Take these steps to activate OCBC OneToken on the OCBC app.

Once activated, you can securely authorise:

Requests (e.g. logging in to OCBC Internet Banking, adding new payees).
Funds transfers and payments made via the OCBC app and Internet Banking.
Card payments made on certain e-commerce websites and apps.

Step 2

Make transactions

Via the OCBC app: Simply submit your request via the OCBC app.

Via Internet Banking: Submit your request, then look out for a push notification on your mobile device.

Online card payments: Submit your request on the merchant’s website/app, then follow the steps provided to authorise the purchase. Depending on the merchant and transaction amount, you may be asked to authorise the transaction using a push notification or an SMS OTP.

Step 3

Authorise transactions

Via the OCBC app: As transactions made via the OCBC app are authorised in the background, no action is needed of you.

Via Internet Banking: Tap the push notification*, then tap ‘Confirm’. You can then return to your banking session.

Online card payments:
If you received a push notification, tap it, then tap ‘Confirm’.

Received an SMS OTP instead? Enter it into the authentication screen.

* Did not receive the push notification? Go to the OCBC app > More > OneToken > Confirm. For details, refer to our FAQs.

HOW TO ACTIVATE OCBC ONETOKEN USING SMS OTP AND EMAIL OTP

1 Log in to the OCBC app

2 Tap on ‘More’ and scroll down to ‘Services’

4 Tap on ‘Activate with SMS OTP and email OTP’ and follow the instructions

5 Wait 12 hours — OCBC OneToken will be activated after that!

Alternatively, you can activate OCBC OneToken using SMS OTP and Token Key or your existing physical hardware token.

HOW TO AUTHORISE YOUR FIRST ONLINE TRANSACTION USING OCBC ONETOKEN

1 A push notification will be sent to you when you perform an online purchase

2 Tap on the push notification received

3 Tap on ‘Confirm’ or ‘Reject’ to verify the transaction

4 Perform an additional one-time SMS OTP authentication for your first OneToken authentication

5 Transaction is successfully authorised

6 Receive an SMS notification upon successfully setting up of OCBC OneToken authorisation for online purchases

Authorise transactions with just a tap

When you login or perform a transaction on your desktop, you will receive a notification on your mobile phone prompting you to authorise the action. Simply tap on the notification and it’s approved!

Notifications for the OCBC app must be enabled on your mobile device for this purpose.Learn more

High risk transactions include:

Adding a new payee^*
Adding credit cards from other banks
Making funds transfer
Changing transaction/daily/authorisation/withdrawal/ funds transfer limits^*
Changing credit and spending limits on your cards
Updating personal particulars^*
Changing online banking PIN
