Should I turn on require immediate payment on eBay? ›

With the immediate payment option on eBay, a listing is still available until a buyer has completed the purchase. This is especially useful when you're selling time-sensitive items, like tee times, food or holiday packages.

When you require immediate payment, the first person who selects Buy It Now and completes checkout gets the item.

Immediate payments, also known as real-time payments or instant payments, are electronic transfers of funds that are completed almost instantly.

As a seller how can I turn off immediate payment required for best offers? As a seller go to your "buyer requirements" and uncheck the box where eBay automatically opted you into buyer having to pay. It's near the bottom of the "requirements".

New sellers typically experience holds for up to 30 days, although sometimes it may be longer. Previously restricted or suspended sellers will experience transaction holds for 30 days after the restriction or suspension is lifted, while we confirm that the items have been successfully delivered.

To reduce the likelihood of a transaction hold, it's recommended shipping an item the same day your buyer pays for it and following good shipping practices, such as adding tracking information to your order. If eBay places a hold on your funds, it will usually be resolved within 30 days.

For a fee of just R6. 50, beneficiaries at other banks can get their money instantly.

Payouts on demand

You can request your available funds in the Payments tab by selecting withdraw. You can request all available funds at once, or choose an amount. Processing funds and funds on hold can't be requested. Your bank will then typically make funds available to you in 1-3 business days.

Immediate payment refers to a transaction for which payment is due upon receipt, or as soon as the goods or services are delivered. Some may add into the contract that you have the right to repossess goods if the customer does not provide immediate payment.

IMPS (Immediate Payment Service)

Using IMPS, you can transfer comparatively lower amounts, up to Rs. 2 lakhs, instantly. So, you can think of IMPS as the fund transfer mode that has the best features of both RTGS and NEFT. You can transfer amounts as low as you want, any time you want, with instant results.

What is a request for immediate payment? ›

Request for payment allows a potential recipient of an instant payment to request an instant payment from another person or organization. An RFP can make it easy for the recipient to initiate the payment, as well as provide a record of the payment for the requestor.

Immediate is not a loan, nor does it offer credit or have a payback period. Due to our HR software integrations, we confirm your hours worked and wages earned and simply charge a small fee to access your wages early (similar to an ATM fee).

You cannot cancel or reverse instant payments.

The only way to prevent this happening again, is before you make or accept an offer is to message the seller asking if they have this immediate payment selected, and if they would kindly remove it as you wish to pay by other means at eBay checkout.

Credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal are our recommended payment methods, but you can also offer buyers other payment methods. To help avoid issues with a transaction, we don't recommend accepting cash unless the buyer is paying on pickup.

It typically takes 2 days from confirming the buyer's payment to initiate your payout if your payouts are scheduled daily. If your payouts are scheduled weekly, we initiate payouts on Tuesday for the sales you've made from Monday to Sunday the previous week.

Buyers must pay for the items they purchase on eBay within 4 calendar days. If the buyer doesn't pay within this timeframe, the seller can cancel the order and an unpaid cancellation will be recorded on the buyer's account.
