Right click on top of the file/folder of interest and pick Send shortcut to Drive.
Select where you want to send the shortcut to (My Drive or a Shared drive) and click Add shortcut. This will allow file syncing with Drive for Desktop.
Cause
Shared with me does not sync via Drive for Desktop.
Check ownership of the files in your Drive.Check your internet connection.Clear the application's cache and data.Uninstall and reinstall the application.
Go to Devices > Chrome > Settings > Users & browsers.Look for the policy called Google Drive syncing and set it as Enable Google Drive syncing. Save the changes.

Shared Drives offer more granular control over permissions compared to Shared Folders. Users with Manager Roles can assign different roles to other users, such as Manager, Content Manager, Contributor, and Viewer, each with varying levels of access and capabilities.
Select an option: Sync with Google Drive: Files you change in the synced folder reflect on Drive. Drive changes reflect on your computer. Synced folders shows under "Computers."
When you view your Google Drive folders you can see if the files and folders in this location are being synced, as they will show an additional sync status icon next to each file.
When you want to copy or move your files from Google Drive to Sync, you need to have both Google Drive's and Sync's desktop apps installed on your computer. The easiest way is to allow auto-updates, which are on by default. If you turn off auto-update, we recommend that you review what version is on users' devices and make updates available as soon as you can. Google may disable outdated versions of Drive for desktop at any time.
Try switching off your cell phone, resetting it or removing the battery, then trying again. Try deleting your device from SYNC and deleting SYNC from your device, then trying again. Always check the security and auto accept prompt settings relative to the SYNC Bluetooth connection on your cell phone.
If you just created the shared drive, wait for a few minutes then try again. It can take some time for security policies to be processed for new shared drives. To share a folder, make sure the person has a Google Account associated with their email address.
Some policies that can prevent access to a shared drive or file in a shared drive include the following: Your Drive sharing settings might prevent access to a shared drive. If the user should have access, you might be able to assign the shared drive to an organizational unit where sharing with them is allowed.
