I’m going to show you how to sell niche blog sites without stressing. All you need is a vision, some content, and confidence to make this a new income stream.
I’m so excited tofinally launch my e-bookthat shares everything I have learned during the process of selling niche blogs. My story of blog flipping started many years ago before I knew people actually purchased blogs!
This new way to earn money started when someone that had worked with me for years handling some paid posts on my site emailed me to buy my Happily Blended blog.
The First Time I Sold a Blog
HappilyBlended.com was a Mom Blog type of site packed full of personal stories and information but included some positive lifestyle tips, too.I started this blog in 2008 and sold it in 2016.I ultimately sold that blog for around $8,500 before fees, taxes, and so forth.
I went ahead with the sale after negotiations. I removed all photos and videos of my children from the site and the new owner has been managing it ever since!
Here’s the thing … I didn’t just say“okay take my blog and accept the first offer”,there are steps involved with selling a niche blog for money.
I cover each of these steps in my e-book ‘How To Start a Blog Flipping Business’below.
The sale of HappilyBlended.com was the start of something pretty awesome… I started thinking how do I make money flipping blogs? I knew people made money flipping houses, so why couldn’t I start another revenue stream by flipping blogs?!
Many years later I finally was in a position to purchase domains, build niche blogs, and write the content to flip some blog sites for extra revenue. As of April 2021, I have sold 4 niche blog sites in the last NINE MONTHS!!Each of the sites sold at various prices and not all were making revenue.

Bloggers can make money using a multitude of different strategies. Some require more effort than others. Most blog income streams rely on precarious conditions, such as search engine algorithms and brand budgets. Therefore, it's highly recommended that you diversify your revenue by choosing multiple methods.
Yes — Bloggers still make money. In fact, there are more ways than ever to earn a living blogging. Revenue streams such as display ads, affiliate marketing, digital products, and email marketing are just a few of the popular revenue streams bloggers use to make money.
“There's practically no limit to your earning potential, but you must invest time into understanding your audience, marketing your content and continuously optimizing for search engines. Blogging is part science, part art, and needs to be done tastefully to work.”
First, find a niche that interests you and is relevant to your money blogging audience. Second, create high-quality content that will draw readers in and keep them coming back. Finally, monetize your blog through advertising and affiliate marketing related to your content.
How Much Do Bloggers Make Per 1,000 Views? While the amount of money that bloggers can make varies widely depending on the niche, industry, and quality of the website, bloggers with 1,000 views usually make an RPM of $20-35 on average.
In most cases, you should expect it to take at least 6 to 12 months (minimum) of consistent blogging & promoting your content to start earning something from your blog. When it comes to making $1,000/mo in blog income, expect that to take 1 to 2 years of consistent effort for most people.
According to recent research, it takes an average of 21 months to start making money with a blog. However, that is just the average. The statistics show that 28% of bloggers start earning money from blogging within 6 months and 34% are making a full-time income within 2 years of starting their blog.
So how long does it take to get blog traffic? SEO is the most reliable, repeatable, and consistent traffic source for long-term growth of your blog. Just know that for new blogs, it can take up to a year before you start seeing significant traffic numbers from Google.
1. Ad Networks. Joining an ad network is one of the most common ways that bloggers make money. Basically, you just sign up with one — such as Google Adsense or Media.net — and then ads get displayed on your site.
Blogs can be both a rewarding and lucrative project, and they can open up exciting opportunities. Through blogging, you can establish yourself as a credible expert in your field, earn a part-time or full-time income and connect with like-minded people who share your interests and passions.
Generally, bloggers should expect to make between $0 – $5,000 per month from advertising, affiliate deals, sponsored posts, and other income sources. A successful blog with high traffic could potentially earn upwards of $50,000 or more each month. How do beginner bloggers make money?
Bloggers who work hard and focus on monetizing their blogs often earn much more money from blogging than they could ever hope to earn in traditional jobs. (Case in point: I now earn more per month from my blogging business than I did PER YEAR in my last 'regular' job, as a teacher!)
Are book blogs profitable? If you keep your expenses low, a book blog can absolutely be profitable. Your main costs will be website hosting, your domain name, and the books you read (but if you're anything like me, you'd be paying for books anyway.)
With people spending more time online than ever before, a high-quality blog that tackles an in-demand topic could be a very successful endeavor. That said, unless you're breaking ground on a very new or different topic, there's probably quite a bit of competition out there when it comes to this type of website.
