SAP transaction codes for inspecting change documents
Inspecting change documents in SAP is not always an easy task. Change documents record changes for several different business objects ranging from, e.g. purchase orders to customer master data and many others.
Here are three ways to display change documents:
Check changes where they belong to
SAP table view with transaction Code SE16
SAP Transaction code RSSCD100
Check changes were they belong to
If you know what business object has been changed, then you can check changes while displaying the business object using the „Environment“. Example: A Purchase Order can be displayed with transaction code ME23N. Browse in the menu: more>Environment>Item Changes and all changes considering the items of the actual purchase order are displayed.
Use Transaction RSSCD100 to display change documents. If you know the number of the change document itself, use the filter „Change document number“. If you know the document number of the changed document/business object, use the filter „Object ID“.
Use Transaction RSSCD100 to display change documents. If you know the number of the change document itself, use the filter „Change document number“. If you know the document number of the changed document/business object, use the filter „Object ID“.
On the Database Overview page, with the Administration or All view selected, click the Manage Database Configuration link on the Database Administration card.
While the Parameters tab is active, select View Change History. The change history table is displayed, sorted by time.
Dear All, We can go to ME22N/ME23N select the line item and then go to Environment and select the option of item changes to be able to see the changes made at the item level.
Go to SE38 - RSTBHIST or Transaction code SCU3. By passing the Input parameters on selection screen like above we can log the changes made to specific table or particular customizing Object with User name,Date,Time, etc.
So confirmation has to be done with the help of another user with the T code FK08. There are 2 types of confirmation in the Tcode FK08. Fields which are maintained Centrally. Fields which are maintained Company Code wise.
You can display the history of a document by choosing the Display History context menu. This works for all element types. The displayed changes affect the element attributes, the document content, and document attributes. You can also display attributes and content of former (historical) versions.
SAP stores changes for most of the standard objects in 2 tables: CDHDR and CDPOS. Changes in SAP's terms are also documents. That's why each change has header (CDHDR) and items (CDPOS). Now, looking into the tables CDHDR and CDPOS, you will be able to see who, what and when changed.
