Updated February 28th, 2022 by Russ Boswell: God of War has exploded in popularity once more thanks to its release on PC. Gamers are making their way through Kratos' latest adventure, which looks and feels a bit different than past God of War titles. The new focus on stats and RPG-like elements gives players a lot of freedom in crafting different "builds" for the big man and one of the most overlooked stats is Luck. To better showcase what Luck does in God of War and show some Luck Items in the 2018 smash-hit, the following list has been updated to include even more information.
What Does Luck Do?
Of the many player stats in God of War, Luck should certainly be a stand-out. Luck does many things that help Kratos throughout his quest. Most importantly, Luck increases XP gains and Hacksilver acquisitions. This is incredibly useful when considering post-campaign content.
The Hacksilver can be used to help players craft new armor for both Kratos and Atreus. The Luck stat also increases players' chances of activating perks from pommels and enchantments. Indeed, especially at God of War's higher difficulty levels, these bonuses can change the tide of battle.
How to Increase Luck Stat in God of War
The Luck stat is the hardest one to increase in God of War. And, while many players will focus on strength or other attributes, Luck can be better for players long-term. Combined with God of War's best talismans and armor, the Luck stat can also give players a huge power boost. This is not to say that Luck is the only worthwhile stat in-game. Strength, Defense, and Runic are all powerful as well. But Luck is, unfortunately, often overlooked despite its benefits.
Like many games, God of War's best armor, stats, and possible builds make it something that allows players to experiment with the gameplay. As God of War makes its debut on PC, and as fans expect the next installment in the epic franchise, it can't be denied that the current system rewards players for making their own choices. In fact, until the next game is released, fans should jump at the opportunity to continue exploring the amazing world of God of War.
