How do I get money paid to me through PayPal? ›

To create your own PayPal.Me link, just visit PayPal.Me. If you already have a PayPal account, log in, and generate your link. If you don't, signup is fast and free. You can also grab your PayPal.Me link from the Profile section in your Account settings.

To accept the money, you must open a PayPal account and confirm your email address. To add an additional layer of confidence when receiving payment, we now provide the sender of funds the option to share a link directly with the recipient that the recipient can use to access and redeem their money.

You can find your username via PayPal's desktop website or the app on your Apple or Android phone. Click the cogwheel icon (desktop) or person icon (mobile). This will bring you to your PayPal profile. Check your username underneath your full name, near the top of the screen.

Claiming Payment

If your PayPal account is set up where you have to manually claim each payment, once notified of payment you'll need to head to PayPal to accept the payment: Log into PayPal. Go to Summary. Under 'Pending', next to the message showing the recipient 'hasn't accepted yet', click Approve.

Choose a username to create your PayPal.Me link. Share your link with your client to request payment. Your client will click on the link, log into PayPal, and complete the payment. The payment will be registered in your PayPal account.
