Ningguang is an important character in the story of Genshin Impact. She controls the rules of trade in Liyue Harbor and is the owner of the Jade Chamber. Those who live in Liyue often look up to her, with very few residents willing to speak badly of Ningguang. She is seen as a guiding light for merchants who want to strike it rich, and even the slips of paper that she litters the city with are considered precious items.

Though it may not seem possible, Ningguang was actually quite poor as a child. She started at the bottom and, through sheer hard work, made her way to the top of the trade. This is thanks to a mix of her unwavering attitude and high intelligence that helps her make safe bets. This is likely why Ningguang is still in a down to earth mind-frame that lets her watch after the citizens of Liyue.
8 She Is Close With Liyue's Children
Ningguang has some interesting ways of obtaining information in the city. The way she had found most effective, though, is by getting to know the children of Liyue. Most adults won't shy away from talking about complicated matters in front of the kids, greatly underestimating them.

Ningguang has a different mindset from the other residents of Teyvat. Instead of getting wrapped up in the politics of wealth, she prefers to look at everything as if it was a game. She strategizes and takes close looks at all the moving pieces when making a new deal in the city. If she wins, then that's just another level to the game of life that she has successfully overcome.
6 She Isn't interested In Love
Ningguang's beauty is well known throughout Teyvat. Due to this, she has an endless selection of suitors from all walks of life who have tried to get close to her. Some of them even go as far as jumping into business deals so that they can have an excuse to meet with her even more often.She isn't interested in relationships herself though and sees them as a pointless endeavor.
5 She Made Her Own Chess Game
Ningguang has some strange hobbies; one of them led her to make her own board game. The chess game that she made is modeled after Liyue and has intricate models that people love to buy. The only problem is that the game is incredibly complicated, so only she can play. Surprisingly it's said that Beidou is actually able to stand up to Beidou in these games.
4 She Wanted To Sell Her Vision
Ningguang isn't really interested in combat despite having a geo vision. In fact, when her vision appeared, she actually planned to sell it off before it activated. Sadly, this didn't work out the way she had planned, and she was frustrated that the vision had decided to resonate with her.

Her initial plan was to have an auction and make a ton of mora off of the person it resonated with.
3 Her Pallet Isn't Wide
Like most normal things that others have an interest in, food isn't something that really entertains Ningguang. She doesn't have favorite foods but sticks to staple dishes that give her an adequate amount of energy and nutrition. She doesn't even take part in Xiangling's cooking. It's safe to say that the sugar-coated slime gifted to her probably wasn't touched.
2 She Doesn't Like Fancy Food
Not only does she have little interest in food, but she detested expensive dishes. Ningguang sees no point in throwing more away on golden crab or any other dish that costs more than normal. She would rather people give her mora than try to buy her a nice meal as it's nothing but a waste. Ningguang isn't easy to impress, especially since she can buy anything she wants anyway.
1 She Doesn't Have Close Friends.
Ningguang does have three assistants, but she doesn't seem to keep any of them close. Even Keqing is kept at a distance as Ningguang doesn't believe she can truly trust anyone. In her mind, it only takes one person to leak her secrets, and that is a risk she may never be willing to take. Ningguang seems to be content with just having the Jade Chamber be her companion despite how others feel about her.
