Fremont is an extremely diverse neighborhood, but extremely expensive to live in. The high housing costs is very unattractive for many, and the local public school are not the best from a learning perspective. However, the environment is very competitive, and can benefit certain personality styles. There is a diversity of food to eat, though not many activities to do except climb Mission Peak. Being strictly suburbs, there are lots of families, and community gatherings are often limited to race/religion.

I lived here my whole life. It’s always been expensive and never had the opportunity to buy a house. The rental market is getting worse, despite the growing crime rate. Fremont & other east bay cities have a major vehicle theft issue. People steal cars, tires, and cat converters often. Mostly found in oakland. Make sure to get comprehensive insurance and wheel locks on your rims. Especially if you live in apt complexes with no gates or cameras (most don’t). Many businesses are closing down and leaving, making it a ghost town, overcrowded but with no jobs. People who live here spend most of their time and money in neighboring cities (SJ). So much traffic! The schools are very competitive if you don’t have a tutor. good luck! No night life everything closes early! Good luck making ends meet if you’re not in tech or healthcare. Red light cameras flash for no reason in Automall. Homeless encampments in front police station.

I love Fremont’s diversity. Growing up here, I can confidently say it's the best place to live because you get to experience so many different cultures, which really broadens your perspective on life. Even at school, during international day, there were so many students representing cultures I hadn't even heard of before. The people here are down to earth and always willing to help when you need it. Plus, the food is amazing with so many different cuisines to choose from. Overall, I love this city and wouldn’t change a thing about it.
