For someone in their mid-20's I have enjoyed my time in the east village. The location in NYC is ideal, and provides quick commutes to most frequent visited areas in Manhattan and Brooklyn for work or leisure. The best highlights of the east village are the nightlife, bars, food, and boutique shopping. There are sometimes concerns of safety, especially at night.

The energy is always electric in the East Village. There are so many options for a night out. Some of the best food you have ever tasted and some of the coolest bars all within steps of each other.

The area is very safe, cultural and diverse. There are plenty of restaurants, night life, shopping and a host of other entertaining activities for everyone to partake in all ages. I have always come to this area since a child for all of my needs.

Loud and dirty but so much fun! Lots of places to eat and drink and go out, good shopping with many local stores.

Amazing experiences. What I would recommend is to just walk around. People love to take the train to bypass certain areas, but the best part is getting to know the neighborhood by foot. Go to St. Mark’s Place. The whole street is awesome. Head to Miss Lily’s on 7th and A for amazing Caribbean food.

The East Village is a Residential and commercial neighborhood in South East Manhattan. It's home to a lot of young people and college students. There are A LOT of incredible restaurants and businesses here, so if you're looking to not have to take the train for date night or a fun day out, EV is the place to be. The neighborhood is safe but I would avoid going East of Avenue B. There isn't really much over there It's Alphabet City is pretty poor and has some gang activity at times. Otherwise it's a neighborhood that attracts people from all over the city with the incredible businesses there so I'd highly recommend if you're moving to NYC and go out a lot.

It feels like one of the last authentic neighborhoods in Manhattan. Sadly since COVID a lot of businesses have shut down. It's a very tight knit area and neighbors all look out for one another.

I believe east village is the heart of New York. It is so racially and economically diverse. It truly represents what New York City stands for. You won't find the high level of food and culture anywhere else.

The East Village is the perfect place to grow up. It has amazing public schools, parks, and supermarkets, and its community is a mix of young professionals, families, and artists. The neighborhood is rich with history, and although faces growing gentrification, the public schools are very diverse and the people are open-minded.

Although it's a bit noisy, the east village is hands down the best place to live in NYC after college. You are surrounded by the best bars and restaurants and in between midtown and the financial district where you will most likely be working. Nothing in the city is more than a 30 minute commute from here.

Though trains are not hugely accessible in the area, it's a great neighborhood to live in. It feels safe to walk around, the location is great and the housing prices are a bit lower than other parts of the city. plenty of cafes and restaurants.

East Village is an amazing part of New York City, my favorite thing to do in East Village is go to the thrift stores to find recycled clothing to transform and use in projects. You can also find any kind of food that you want for an affordable price.

Born here, raised here, about to leave off for college. Definitely a great formative experience for your kids-- they're raised in a historic, cultural epicenter of one of the world's greatest cities. Of course, it's gotten pretty expensive in recent years. For those able to afford this place, give it a shot.

The East Village is the perfect combination of character, interesting residents, and fun things to do. It is one of those classic NYC neighborhoods everyone should visit or live in to experience in their own way, and there is something for everybody.

The people are awesome and the food is amazing. There are so many diverse food and bar and store options. It is away from the hustle and bustle usually associated with NYC but close enough that it's easily accessible when wanted. I love walking around and seeing all the unique stores/restaurants.
