Many USA and Canadian drone owners have registered their drones in our drone registry. If you have found a drone with a registration number displayed on it, enter that number below. If the owner has registered their drone you will be shown how to contact them.
How do I lookup my drone registration number? ›
Login to the FAA Drone Zone's Website here. Be sure to log in with the same email you originally registered with. Upon logging in, you'll be redirected to the home screen which displays your registration number on the left-hand side, along with the date of issue and expiration.
How do you unregister your drone? ›
Recreational flyers: If you registered your drone at FAADroneZone, log in to your account and you will see your registration number, right below it (in far left column) you will see the option to "Cancel".

What happens if you fly an unregistered drone? ›
Failure to register an unmanned aircraft that is required to be registered may result in regulatory and criminal penalties. The FAA may assess civil penalties up to $27,500. Criminal penalties include fines of up to $250,000 and/or imprisonment for up to three years.
If your drone was registered for 'recreational' use, removing the registration number is sufficient, because only your personal information is on file and until the registration expires (3 years), you can simply put the same registration number on a different drone and fly recreationally.
