Error: 'Unable to locate this TxnHash' | MetaMask Help Center 🦊♥️? ›

This error arises when a transaction is stuck locally, and has not been properly submitted to the blockchain.

If nothing happens, the most common reason is because you have more than one browser-based wallet installed and active. You'll need to disable other wallets in order for MetaMask to work properly. Once you have disabled other wallets, reload the page.

If you sent a transaction, and it failed, the most likely cause is a lack of gas: you "ran out of gas", in other words, the transaction had a cost in gas that, when multiplied by the gas price, resulted in a total amount of the network's native currency that was greater than what you had in your wallet.

Outdated Browser or Extension

If a user is running an outdated version of their wallet extension or their browser, they may experience issues accessing their wallet. To address this issue, users should ensure that they are running the latest version of their browser and MetaMask extension.

If you can't find an answer in these resources, click on the 'Contact Support' button on https://support.metamask.io/ to speak to a support agent.

You'll only be able to send tokens that MetaMask Portfolio has detected in your selected account. If the token you want to send is not displayed, you could try refreshing your balances or importing the token. If you're sending tokens, input how much you want to send.

Check that the transaction was successful.

If the transaction was unsuccessful, the tokens will not show up in the destination wallet, and you'll need to try sending them again. Remember that blockchain transactions are not immediate, so your transaction may take a little while to be confirmed.

Completely close and reopen the web browser.

This clears all caches and forces a resync with the blockchain. Switching browsers might solve the issue. We recommend using Chrome or Brave as connecting a Ledger device to MetaMask is no longer supported on FireFox.

If your Metamask wallet isn't connecting on $BLOCK, close it, open your Metamask, click select a network and pick Ethereum Main Network. Go reopen the Block app from your home page, click connect Metamask. It should work like this.

The most common case with WalletConnect problems is stale sessions that need to be cleared out. Whenever you experience a WalletConnect problem, we recommend disconnecting all active WalletConnect sessions. You can easily do this by navigating to Settings > WalletConnect Sessions > Disconnect All Sessions.

Find the account whose balance you want to refresh and click the three vertical dots next to it when you mouseover. Once in the 'More actions' menu, you'll see the option to 'Resync balances'. Click it to refresh your balances.

If you do this, you'll need to redownload it, and then follow one of these two options: Restore your wallet using the Secret Recovery Phrase. If you don't have your Secret Recovery Phrase, you may be able to retrieve it if you still have access to the device on which you were using MetaMask.

Outdated Browser Extensions: In some cases, outdated or incompatible browser extensions can conflict with the Metamask wallet, leading to login errors. To address this issue, users should ensure that they are using the latest version of their preferred browser and update any extensions related to Metamask.
