How long does a DuitNow transfer take? ›

DuitNow Request transfers occur immediately, and payees will usually receive money in their bank account instantly upon the payer's approval.

Daily transfer limit

The maximum combined limit for DuitNow, DuitNow Transfer (to account) and Interbank GIRO (IBG) is RM50,000 per day. You can change your transaction limits in the settings.

IBG is a delayed Funds Transfer without validation on the beneficiary account number and name. DuitNow to Account (previously known as Instant Transfer) allows you to review the beneficiary's name upon submitting the account details to ensure that the account that you are transferring funds to is correct.

This would usually be referring to a time-out between BigPay to the recipient's bank/e-wallet when the transfer was initiated. No worries, the transaction will still be processed in the best effort between BigPay and the recipient's bank/e-wallet.

Once a DuitNow transfer is initiated, it's not possible to cancel or reverse the transaction. Make sure to double-check the recipient's details before confirming the transfer.

How will my Bank or eWallet provide my money back? Generally, your Bank or eWallet will return the refunded money to your existing DuitNow QR debiting account, provided the account is still valid and active.

DuitNow is fast, secure, and free for consumers and small businesses. No fees are charged for consumers and SMEs for transfers up to RM5,000, with some banks waiving the fees for fund transfers above RM5,000 as well.
