Follow the steps to easily connect a computer to your Wi-Fi network with Videotron Zyxel Router.

Find your Wi-Fi network’s name and password

Find the name of your wireless network SSID, as well as your password which is your WPA key.

Connect a computer with Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8

To connect your Windows desktop computer or laptop to your local Wi-Fi network:

  1. Find the name of your wireless network SSID, as well as your password which is your WPA key. This information can normally be found at the back of your router.
  2. From the taskbar, click the Network icon near the time to display available networks (click the “arrow tip” to display hidden icons, if needed).
  3. Select your network (your SSID).
  4. Check the box to connect automatically, then click Connect.
  5. Enter your password (WPA key) and click Next.
  6. After a few seconds, the menu will indicate that the computer is connected to the Wi-Fi network.

Connect an Apple computer with Mac OSX 10.6, 10.8 and 10.9

To connect your MAC OS (X or 11) desktop computer or laptop to your local Wi-Fi network:

  1. Find the name of your wireless network SSID, as well as your password which is your WPA key. This information can normally be found at the back of your router.
  2. Click the Wi-Fi icon on the menu bar. If the Wi-Fi is set to Disabled, click on the Enable Wi-Fi button or the Wi-Fi toggle to enable it.
  3. Click on the Wi-Fi icon and select your network’s name from the list (your SSID).
  4. Enter your password (WPA key) and make sure to check the Remember This Network box.
  5. Click Connect.
  6. The full signal bars in the Wi-Fi icon indicate that the computer is now connected.
