Unfortunately, you cannot use Cash App in Germany, despite its popularity in the United States and the United Kingdom, as it only operates in these regions.
But even though Cash App is not available in Germany, residents still have other reliable mobile payment platforms ready to try out:
PayPal
For online transactions, in general, and peer-to-peer payments, in particular, PayPal has always been that solution.
It never fails to bring something to someone, from e-commerce with PayPal Checkout to personal payments with PayPal.me. It is the place to go when you're in doubt.
Google Pay and Apple Pay
The progeny of global IT titans, these apps never disappoint their target users. While Google Pay allows customers to pay with their card information stored in their Google Wallets, paying contactless with Apple Pay is as simple as whipping out your iPhone and tapping it a few times.
girocard
Despite not exactly being a mobile app, girocard is a widespread debit card system accepted by most merchants in Germany. For simple, everyday transactions, girocard is the only one customers need.
Skrill
Though far less talked about, Skrill provides a different way to send and receive money, make online purchases, and manage funds efficiently from one digital wallet. If you want an e-wallet that can do it all, try Skrill - you won't need anything else.
We are uncertain of when Cash App will eventually appear in Germany; however, one thing we know for sure is that its success will depend on how the company plans to deal with regulatory complexities and compete with established players. But for now, picking the right one from what is already there is enough for Germans to satisfy their payment needs.
