Airbnb may limit, suspend, or deactivate your account, as outlined in our Terms of Service. Your account may be deactivated during a review of Airbnb accounts. Account Reviews are part of an effort to uphold our Community Policies, our Terms of Service, and foster mutual trust.

In general, we decide to close an account if the Host: Has had their listings repeatedly suspended. Has overall ratings that are below 99% of all other ratings on Airbnb. Has violated of our Terms of Service.

It checks a couple of factors, such as – review ratings, host response time, cancellation rate, booking acceptance rate, etc. Your property might be suspended if your listing does not meet Airbnb standards.

How long will my Airbnb suspension last? It depends on the issue. Minor problems might lead to a short, 5-day suspension, while bigger issues could mean a longer pause or even a permanent ban. During a short suspension, your existing bookings are still safe.

Your account may also be deactivated or suspended as the result of an issue reported to our Customer Service team. Airbnb takes safety very seriously, and if we receive a report of a violation of our Community Standards, we will investigate the report and take appropriate action.

If your listing is below standard in some way, Airbnb can temporarily suspend your listing. The reasons for the initial suspension can range from ratings that are too low to a slow response time. It can also include high levels of cancellations and too few accepted reservations.

Hosts can choose to hide their listing at any time from search results, usually to prevent new bookings.

Reactivating your listing

Go to Listings and select the listing you want to reactivate. Under Listing basics, go to Listing status. Change the Listing status to Listed. Tap or click Save.

Accounts might get flagged and locked for 'unusual or suspicious activity' and for violating community rules. Much of this is automated and often accounts are flagged and locked in error. This may require Airbnb to review the issue with a person, but of course, this takes time.
