A Moment, Fractured is a Hidden Realm Environment. This stage can only be reached via the Celestial Portal, which spawns on Rallypoint Delta or Scorched Acres after the first loop next to the Teleporter.
The Realm features multiple floating islands in a void, with sharp blue crystals embedded in them. As the player drops down, a path of glowing blue rocks will appear between each island, leading the player to the last area. The Obelisk can be found on top of the last island.
The player can interact with the Obelisk, being prompted if they want to obliterate themselves from existence, then being asked again if they are sure. Doing so will end the run, and unlocks the achievement True Respite, which also unlocks the character Mercenary. Obliteration also grants the players 5 Lunar Coins. (Note: If you have picked up The Beads of Fealty you will be sent to A Moment, Whole upon attempting to obliterate)
If the player wants to continue the run, a portal will open up near the Obelisk to the right side of the hill.
The in-game timer stands still while the players are in this hidden realm.
Logbook Entry[]
The Environment Log for the Logbook Entry can be found right underneath the platform where you start, however, for it to appear, you first have to search the edges of this platform long enough.
Secrets & Achievements[]
Two islands can be found "near" the spawn point which are littered with literal Easter Eggs, one with small Easter Eggs, the other with large! The first is far to the left of spawn, and the later high above the first.
A third island can be found far below near the Obelisk, though it does not appear to have anything on it.

Greetings fellow Risk of Rain 2 enthusiasts! I'm here to share my in-depth knowledge and expertise on the hidden realm environment known as "A Moment, Fractured." I've spent countless hours exploring this intriguing realm, uncovering its secrets, and mastering the mechanics that make it a unique and challenging experience within the game.
First and foremost, let's delve into the process of accessing A Moment, Fractured. This hidden realm can only be reached via the Celestial Portal, which spawns on Rallypoint Delta or Scorched Acres after the first loop next to the Teleporter. This exclusive access adds an element of mystery and rarity to the realm, making it a sought-after destination for players looking to push their limits.
Once inside A Moment, Fractured, players will find themselves surrounded by multiple floating islands in a void, each adorned with sharp blue crystals. The visual aesthetics of this realm are breathtaking, but there's more to it than meets the eye. As players descend, a path of glowing blue rocks will materialize, guiding them between islands and ultimately leading to the last area where the coveted Obelisk is situated.
The centerpiece of A Moment, Fractured, is the Obelisk, perched atop the final island. This is a pivotal element of the realm, as players can interact with it. Upon interaction, players will be prompted with a life-altering choice – to obliterate themselves from existence. Confirming this irreversible decision not only ends the run but also unlocks the achievement "True Respite." As a bonus, the character Mercenary is unlocked, and players receive 5 Lunar Coins as a testament to their daring journey.
It's worth noting that if players have picked up The Beads of Fealty, attempting to obliterate will send them to a different location, A Moment, Whole. This twist adds an extra layer of complexity and strategic decision-making to the experience.
For those who prefer to continue their run, a portal conveniently opens near the Obelisk to the right side of the hill. The in-game timer stands still while players are in this hidden realm, providing a temporary respite from the relentless pace of the game.
If you're a completionist or simply enjoy uncovering all the secrets a game has to offer, keep an eye out for the Environment Log, which can be found right underneath the platform where you start. However, patience is key, as it only appears after thorough exploration along the platform's edges.
As for additional secrets and achievements, two islands near the spawn point are worth investigating. One is far to the left and is littered with small Easter Eggs, while the other, located high above the first, is adorned with larger Easter Eggs. A third island near the Obelisk seems devoid of any significant discoveries, but the thrill of exploration is always worth the effort.
In summary, A Moment, Fractured, is a hidden realm in Risk of Rain 2 that offers a unique and rewarding experience for players willing to venture into the unknown. From the breathtaking visuals to the critical decision-making at the Obelisk, this realm is a testament to the game's depth and complexity. Happy exploring, and may your runs be filled with both challenges and triumphs!
As the player drops down, a path of glowing blue rocks will appear between each island, leading the player to the last area. The Obelisk can be found on top of the last island. The exit portal located near the Obelisk that the player can enter to return to their run.
The main purpose of fighting it is to obtain lunar coins and complete the current run. There is no way to exit the stage other than killing the Twisted Scavenger, or being killed.
The player can interact with the Obelisk, being prompted if they want to obliterate themself from existence, then being asked again if they are sure. Doing so the second time will end the run for all players, while also giving each 5 Lunar Coins. A Moment, Whole.
A Moment, Whole is a hidden realm introduced in the Hidden Realms update. It can be reached from the A Moment, Fractured, by obliterating at the Obelisk while at least 1 member of the team has a Beads of Fealty. One of 4 Twisted Scavengers will be sitting in front of the player.
Obliterating for the first time completes the "True Respite" challenge, which unlocks the character Mercenary, while obliterating with any Survivor on Monsoon (except Engineer) completes their Mastery challenge, which unlocks that Survivor's skin.
To have one spawn, the player must have looped at least once and reach the 3rd stage (Stage 8, 13, etc.). On this stage a Celestial orb will spawn. This Celestial orb can be seen circling the teleporter if this is the case. The teleporter event must then be completed, and the Celestial Portal will spawn.
I shall turn to that in just a moment. I referred to that just a moment ago. I will return to that point, too, in just a moment. I shall have a word or two to say about those long-term pay agreements in just a moment.
Obelisk is what allows you to unlock the character, Mercenary. You have to "Obliterate" yourself to do so, which will end your run, but you only need to do it once. After that, if you ever end up there again, just walk up to the Obelisk, then walk back down to the right where there will be a portal back.
Kur-skan, the Heretic is a secret playable character in Risk of Rain 2. The Heretic cannot be selected from the character selection screen at the start of a run. Instead, she must be transformed into by holding all 4 Heresy items at once.
MUL-T is arguably the easiest character to unlock. All you need to do is clear the first stage five times. You'll naturally unlock MUL-T just by playing, and you also can speed up the process by farming the first stage.
When focusing on the main objectives, Risk of Rain 2 is about 10½ Hours in length. If you're a gamer that strives to see all aspects of the game, you are likely to spend around 142 Hours to obtain 100% completion.
Either just ignore the celestial portal and go through the teleporter or just interact with the obelisk once (not twice, that ends the run) and then leave again through the portal.
When the orb spawns, the text "A purple orb appears.." will show, and when the teleporter event is completed, the text "A purple portal appears.." will show. This portal is called the "Void Portal" and looks the same as the portal transporting you to the void locus after finishing the void fields.
Obelisk is what allows you to unlock the character, Mercenary. You have to "Obliterate" yourself to do so, which will end your run, but you only need to do it once. After that, if you ever end up there again, just walk up to the Obelisk, then walk back down to the right where there will be a portal back.
