Former India cricketer Yuvraj Singh and current captain Rohit Sharma share a close bond. Remembering the good old days with Rohit Sharma, Yuvraj Singh shared a collage of Rohit's images on his Instagram story. In the first picture, a young Rohit Sharma can be seen in the same frame as Yuvraj. The second picture features Rohit Sharma along with Shikhar Dhawan. 'Hey Brothaman, looking Shana,' wrote Yuvraj while tagging Rohit Sharma.
Rohit Sharma and Yuvraj Singh met when Rohit made his debut for India in 2007. However, the meeting wasn't a very pleasant one. Rohit narrated the details of the meet and revealed how Yuvraj intimidated him.
“I was a big fan of Yuvi. Seriously, he came out like a footballer - in shorts and socks, nice sunglasses and cap, with headphones on. I recognized instantly that this is him. He came inside [the bus] and I said, ‘Yuvi paa, hi Rohit’, " Rohit recalled on Breakfast with Champions with Gaurav Kapur.
“Haan, but tujhe pata hai kiska seat hai woh, ” asked Rohit (“Yes, but you know whose seat this is.")
“Bhai, main baittha hun udhar. Chal dusra seat pakad le,” said Yuvraj. (“Brother, this is my seat, you sit at another place.”)
Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma has a secondary relation with Yuvraj Singh as well. Rohit Sharma's wife Ritika Sajdeh is a Rakhi sister of Yuvraj. Rohit reminisced his first meeting with Ritika and revealed that Yuvraj Singh threatened him to stay away for her. Rohit and Ritika, a sports event manager, met during a professional ad shoot with some of the senior members of the team, including Yuvraj. This is when Yuvraj told Rohit that Ritika is her sister and it would be better if he stayed away from her.
