2023-09-02T01:44:51.75+00:00 To stop syncing passwords in the Authenticator app, openSettings>Autofill settings>Sync account. On the next screen, you can select onStop sync and remove all autofill data. This will remove passwords and other autofill data from the device. Removing autofill data doesn't affect two-step verification.

Again, goes without saying but backup before doing something like this.

2023-09-01T21:48:27+00:00 The first step is to go to each of the service provider sites and turn off two factor authentication, so the authenticator is no longer needed for site access. Then you're free to remove the accounts and app from the device.

2023-09-01T22:02:47.4233333+00:00 No, I want to maintain the current account for two factor authentication but clear all stored passwords and addresses at once.

2023-09-01T23:22:25.4266667+00:00 In authenticator click the Passwords at bottom, select one, click three-dot and then Delete. Repeat for each one as needed. Goes without saying but backup before doing something like this.

2023-09-02T01:30:21.6933333+00:00 There are more than 1k passwords. Deleting them one by one will take a very long time.

2024-02-06T13:47:41.79+00:00 I deleted all data from the app, but the passwords are still there after logging in again.
This means your Microsoft login gives access to all accounts for which this has somehow saved your passwords. And it is hard to delete these passwords again.
So make sure that your Microsoft login is very secure, it isn't just to unlock your PC.
