Established in New York in 1902, Standard Chartered Americas has a strong and diverse talent pool of employees with 120 nationalities represented. It is this kind of diversity that helps us to understand local markets, challenge preconceptions or limitations and deliver true value to our clients.
Headquartered in New York, we are currently present in nine locations across North and South America. Our Americas presence is a center of expertise for product groups that allows us to provide a range of services, platforms and capabilities to better meet clients’ needs, no matter where they are based in North and South America.

US and Europe & Americas
Steven (‘Steve’) Cranwell is the Chief Executive Officer, US and Europe & Americas at Standard Chartered. Prior to this role, Steve was Chief Executive Officer and Regional Head, Client Coverage of the Americas at Standard Chartered. Based in New York, he is responsible for leading the Bank’s strategy, client relationships, employee engagement, governance, risk management and regulatory commitments for the Bank’s businesses across Europe and the Americas.
