1. Tabby
You should always get the Tabby Bee first. This way, you can begin to stack up your Tabby Love earlier. A Tabby Bee with maxed Tabby Love is the theoretical best pollen collector in the game. The only exception is if you don't play a lot. If you don't play that often, get Tabby Bee second. No matter what, Tabby Bee should always be bought first or second.
2. Photon
Get Photon Bee second. Photon is also good for collecting pollen, but not as good as a maxed Tabby Bee. (See other blog post, Photon vs Tabby) However, if you don't play a lot, Photon Bee should be bought first. Another exception is if you are near or on the Star Journey quests. If you are, get Photon third.
3. Gummy
Get Gummy Bee third. Gummy Bee is extremely useful for color specific goo during the Star Journey quests. (See other blog post, The Benefits of Gummy Bee) Gummy Bee also has a high conversion rate. If you are in desperate need of conversion rate, it's ok to get Gummy Bee first or second.
4. Crimson
Unless you have 20+ red bees, you should get Crimson Bee fourth. Crimson Bee is a big help during Star Journey 2. If you do have 20+ red bees, get Crimson Bee second.
5. Cobalt
Simular to Crimson Bee, Cobalt Bee helps during Star Journey 3. You should get Cobalt Bee fifth. If you have 20+ blue bees, get it second.
6. Puppy
Puppy Bee. Is. A. Waste. Unless you have beekeeper's boots, tons of haste-giving bees, and a gifted Hasty Bee, you can never efficiently farm treats from Puppy Bee. Puppy Bee's ball can slo be wasted during field boosts, as you should be more focused on filling your backpack than chasing a ball. A maxed fetch combo only rewards around 350 treats, which is NOTHING. It's not worth the hassle of running around, collecting haste and kicking a ball for a full 2 minutes. This may change after the rebalancing.
More simple thing
1. Tabby (2nd if you don'y play a lot or need conversion)
2. Photon (1st if you don't play a lot and 3rd if you have 20+ red/blue bees)
3. Gummy (1st or 2nd if you need conversion, 2nd if you are on/near the Star Journey quests)
4. Crimson (2nd if you have 20+ red bees)
5. Cobalt (2nd if you have 20+ blue bees)
6. Puppy (waste)
