On highways, it will be normal to see platoons of autonomous vehicles with AI piloting systems running carbon-negative services. In back-office operations, humans will still be in charge of communication, management-worker relations, training programs, and many other human-centric activities. Similarly, in customer service operations, the account manager’s personal touch and engagement will be essential to build rapport, handle complex requests, and close out contracts. Strategy and planning will remain a human-centric function as strategic decision-decision making, executive tasks and exceptions handling requires experienced people.
