Why is my Airalo eSIM not activating? ›

Make sure that you have the latest version of the Airalo app installed. You can download the Airalo app from the App Store or Google Play. Make sure that you have entered the correct eSIM activation code. You can find the activation code in the email that you received from Airalo.

Sometimes, an eSIM can get stuck activating on an iOS device. This usually happens when you have installed an eSIM but haven't yet arrived at your destination country/region. You can rest easy knowing that the eSIM is fully installed, even if it displays "activating" or "activation failure.".

Most eSIMs will automatically activate when you connect to a mobile network at your destination. Others will activate immediately upon installation.

Depending on your device and your physical location, your eSIM might take up to 15 minutes to connect to a local supported network. After completing the above steps, please make sure Airplane Mode is off and that you're not on Wi-Fi. Wait a few minutes to see if your eSIM will connect.
