NFC became available on Android devices in 2012. Since then, the number of Android phones has exploded. If you have an Android NFC-enabled mobile, you can do a bunch of cool things - our fave is using your device like a card to make contactless payments.
But now let's get to geeking out on which devices are compatible with card emulation (the ability to use your mobile to make tap to pay contactless payments just like you would with your card)?
Samsung -Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+, Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+ and Galaxy S10, S10 G5, S10+, S20, S20+, S20 Ultra.
LG - Almost all of LG’s smartphone models from 2014 have NFC chips except Q6 (2017) and K11 (2018).
Nokia - The 3, 5, 5.1, 6, 7 Plus, 8, 8 Sirocco, 9 PureView and 6.1 all have NFC while the 1, 2, 2.1, and 6.1 + don't have NFC.
Sony - If you have a model from 2017 or nearer, it'll be compatible.
HTC - Almost all models since 2015 are equipped with NFC functionality except for HTC One, X10, and Desire 12/12+.
