Jordan Spieth’s rough start to the Masters went from bad to worse Friday morning.
The Dallas native made a quadruple bogey on the par-5 15th hole, tying his highest score on a hole in his PGA Tour career. It was Spieth’s third 9 in the PGA Tour and his second at No. 15 during the Masters.

Spieth was one of a few golfers who had to finish their first round early Friday morning because of a weather delay on Thursday. In addition to his quadruple bogey, he also had a double bogey on hole 1, and bogeys on holes 5, 14 and 17. He had just two birdies in the first round to bring his score to 7-over 79 for the first round, tying him for 81st.

Spieth is coming up on two years since his last win and he missed two straight cuts at The Players Championship and Valspar Championship. He entered The Masters dealing with a wrist injury that’s been an issue since last season.
