The Core Consumer Price Index (CPI) measures the changes in the price of goodsand services, excluding food and energy. The CPI measures price change from the perspective of the consumer. It is a key way to measure changes in purchasing trends and inflation.
A higher than expected reading should be taken as positive/bullish for the USD, while a lower than expected reading should be taken as negative/bearish for the USD.

Rising inflation leads to rising interest rates, they have to do something to battle the inflation, but the reaction varies a lot depending on what is going on with the economy

For the past three months, USD has been on a stable movements and also fluctuating between 0.1% , a news headline said the us dollar gotta a bit preach up, so we shall be looking out for a 1% in addition to the 0.2% movements.
