If you've played Wordle long enough, then you have like encountered the scenario where the game's daily puzzle features two answers.
This week, it happened twice.
The New York Times confirmed Tuesday the solution for Wordle 325 featured two different wordsa day after players faced a similar scenario because of a "major recent news event."
Since The New York Times announced it had acquired Wordle following the game's meteoric rise, there have been a handful of changes mostly focused on the five-letter words players have to correctly guess.
In some cases, that original Wordle answer has been updated with a different word, leaving many players bewildered.

AGORA and AROMA
In February, the same month The New York Times confirmed its acquisition of Wordle, players were presented with "agora" and "aroma" as the correct answers.
The newspaper told CNN it had removed words that were too difficult or may be rude or offensive. While words like "agora" or "wench" would not appear as solutions, players can still type them as potential guesses.
STOVE and HARRY
In March, most players correctly guessed "stove" for the Wordle on March 30. However, some players also correctly chose "harry."
Before you question why Wordle is using a person's name as the answer, "harry" is defined by Merriam-Webster dictionary as"to make a pillaging or destructive raid on" or "to force to move along by harassing."
The answer was changed by The New York Times as part of its effort to remove obscure or insensitive words from the game.
FETUS and SHINE
On Monday, most Wordle players got "shine" as the right answer while a handful of others reported correctly guessing "fetus." In a statement, The New York Times said it changed the answer because it appeared "closely connected to a major recent news event."
Last week, a draft opinion from the Supreme Court leaked suggested justices might overturn the landmark abortion ruling Roe v. Wade.
"This is entirely unintentional and a coincidence –today’s original answer was loaded into Wordle last year," said The New York Times Games.
BUTCH and GECKO
Tuesday felt like déjà vu for several players, after The New York Times confirmed there were once again two answers for Wordle. While some players correctly guessed "butch," others who refreshed their games ended up with "gecko" as the right answer.
