The SIAM (Society Of Indian Automobile Manufacturers) has released the two-wheeler sales data for the month of May. Below is the list of the top 5 best-selling Indian scooters (both 110cc and 125cc) last month along with their year-on-year (YoY) growth data:

Honda Activa continues to dominate the sales chart with massive sales, and the second best-selling TVS Jupiter isn’t even close to Activa’s sales figures. Both Suzuki scooters, the Access 125 and the Burgman Street, have shown good month-on-month growth. Moreover, they showed a significant year-on-year growth, this can be because the sales slowed down last year as Suzuki was in the middle of updating the scooters with OBD 2-compliant engines last year.

5. Suzuki Burgman Street: Quick Highlights

The Suzuki Burgman Street is a 125cc maxi-style scooter from the Japanese manufacturer. Its practical nature and comfortable ride quality might be one of the reasons for it to be one of the best-selling scooters in India last month. The scooter also has sufficient power for everyday commuting and comes with Suzuki's reliability.

The TVS Ntorq comes with an LCD instrument console with smartphone connectivity via the TVS SmartXonnect app. It includes call/SMS alerts, turn-by-turn navigation, phone battery and signal indicators, engine temperature details, a lap timer, last-parked location assistance and a voice assist feature. It also gets a kill switch and a pass switch. Whereas, the Race XT is the more feature-loaded variant that has a TFT display with two screens. The scooter even displays social media, food delivery as well as e-commerce app notifications.
