They will love it, bruises or not. As long as they wear the safety equipment provided (and gloves) they will be fine and love you forever for taking them :o

Its safe and you get protective gear. But honestly, it can really hurt when you get hit and it can leave fairly nasty bruises.
Good fun though.

Make sure they wear the helmets/protective goggles at ALL TIMES. Sorry for shouting - but someone I know took his off because they were splashed in paint and he couldn't see, and got shot in an eye and needed surgery :(

Dh and I have been a few times with friends, and yes, you do get some pretty impressive bruises! But it's such a lot of fun and it's very safe with all of the protective goggles, gloves etc. Don't worry, they'll have a great time!

It's safe. There will be protective clothing and a safety brief. They will love it. (it hurts and bruises, and it hurts the most in cold weather as the balls bounce off rather than burst)

He loved it.
Got covered in bruises but didn't mind.
Filthy, dirty like I've never seen him (again he loved it)

DS went to a paintballing party with all the children about that age; no bruises, thoroughly enjoyed it. They wear protective gear, I really wouldn't worry about it.

ds (12) has been a couple of times - they get well safety briefed and are usually warned that if they remove the protective gear they're out.
Make sure you have plenty of cash for spare paintballs - or see if they can stagger them out throughout the day. ds took one pal who used most of his paintballs in first 5 mins and dh ended up giving him his..

I've been paintballing. It's safe apparantly but it bloody hurts. I loved it until I got hit, then I didn't want to play anymore because I'm a complete wuss and didn't want to embarass myself by crying.

My brother used to go as a teenager and came back black and blue, but didn't care.

My friends ds nearly lost the vision in one eye after being hit, but then he took his goggles off so he could 'see better' (oh the irony).

Make sure they all follow instructions and that you have a nice bottle glass of wine ready for when you get home.

If you can take a wodge of extra cash. Paintball is a bit of a con, you get something like 1000 pellets included in the main price but they go really quickly, and they will try and sell you extras like grenades.

They will have a fantastic time.
