In Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet's DLC, The Teal Mask, you’ll find most of your attention focused on Ogrepon and the antics of the Loyal Three. But if you want a break or once that’s over and done with, there’s still quite a few things to get done across Kitakami (and beyond). This page is a quick guide and index for every side quest and post-game mission you can do in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s The Teal Mask.

Side Quests and Events
These quests can be started at any point of the DLC once you meet certain qualifications. We’re not sure of some of them can’t be completed until the main story is done, but they can be progressed before it’s over.
Jacq’s Sinnoh Starter Egg
As early as the beginning of your signpost expedition, if you exit Mossui Town to the east onto Reveler’s Road, you’ll find Professor Jacq by a huge tree almost immediately. Go over to speak to him and he’ll invite you on a picnic where he’ll suddenly find an Egg.
You can wonder how it got there all you want, but in any case, Jacq gives the Egg to you! This Egg contains one of the three Sinnoh starters: Turtwig, Chimchar, or Piplup. It also has an absurdly low step counter to hatch and may hatch before you even leave Reveler’s Road.
So far as we can tell, it is entirely random which Sinnoh starter Pokemon hatches from the egg.
Follow the Glitterati
In Apple Hills, you’ll find a wealthy-looking couple fawning over the beauty of Kitakami. Speak to them and you’ll learn they are O’Nare and Billy, a duo of well-off business people on a sightseeing journey. O’Nare will challenge you to a battle and then go off to a new location. You can follow them to each location through both Kitakami and Paldea to obtain items you can sell for lots of money.
For more information, including where to find them in all their locations, visit our page on O’Nare and Billy: The Glitterati (Rich Couple) Locations in The Teal Mask.

Perrin and the Blood Moon Beast
Near the western exit of Mossui Town, you’ll find a photographer named Perrin. She wants you to help her take pictures and track down a certain Pokemon, but won’t let you come with her until you register 150 Pokemon in your Kitakami Pokedex.
Once you do, she’ll battle you and take you on a survey through the Timeless Woods where you’ll fight and capture Bloodmoon Ursaluna. For more information, visit our page on Perrin in the section Finding the Blood Moon Beast.
The Kitakami Ogre Clan
All over Kitakami, you’ll find powerful trainers wearing Ogrepon’s signature teal ogre mask. These are the members of the Kitakami Ogre Clan and they are by far the strongest trainers in the entire DLC. There are 8 trainers in all, including a secret leader. You can obtain special items for defeating each member.
For more on their locations, teams, tactics, and rewards regarding this powerful organization, see our guide on Teal Mask Kitakami Ogre Clan Locations.
The Lovey Dovey Couple
In Mossui Town, there’s a pair of sickening sweethearts behind the community center who want to see a Pokemon who matches their vibe. If you can show them a Tandemaus or Maushold, you’ll win their hearts and a gift.
For more information on this, you can see our guide on The Teal Mask Lovey Dovey Pokemon Solution.

Post-Game
There are a selection of missions only available once you finish off The Teal Mask DLC main story. The main story is considered over after you’ve captured Ogrepon, battled Carmine a final time, and seen the last sequence of cutscenes.
Catching the Loyal Three
After fighting them during the main story, the Loyal (or lousy, as they’re also being called) Three can be battled once again. This time, however, you can and will have the ability to capture them. Bring along lots of Full Heals and leave your Fairy-types at home as you try to bring these Poison-type troublemakers home.
For more information on catching the Loyal Three and where to find them, visit our guide on How to Catch the Loyal Three in The Teal Mask.
Repairing the Loyalty Plaza Shrine
After the state the shrine in Loyalty Plaza is left in during the events of the main story, it’ll need to go under some repairs. Speak to the community center director at Kitakami Hall and he’ll set up a donation drive to raise funds to fix the shrine. The goal? 1,000,000 Poke dollars.
This seems like an absurd amount (especially to just set-up a tourist trap), but luckily, if you do the above Glitterati quest, you’ll get enough treasures that sell for ~1,000,000 Poke dollars anyway to cover the cost. If you finish this, you’ll get the Flashy Festival Jinbei fashion item and the Hurray emote.
Visit Grandma
Once you finish the main story and are back in Mossui Town, be sure to go to Carmine and Kieran’s house to visit their grandmother. If you do this, she’ll give you two more Jinbei fashion items in deep blue and white/gray.

You don’t have to do this before you leave. In fact, you can do this at any point after you beat the main quest.
Get the Glimmering Charm
The Kitakami Pokedex has 200 entries in it. If you fill your Kitakami Pokedex with all those entries, you can speak to Jacq in his same position by the Reveler’s Road tree and not only will you get a certificate, but you will get the Glimmering Charm. This Key Item allows you to pick up more Tera Shards after Tera Raid Battles.
For more details on it and how to get it, visit our guide on Glimmering Charm.
