In this article, we will explore potential reasons why your Samsung phone's applications may not be sending notifications and provide troubleshooting steps to help you resolve the problem.
Disable Do not disturb and Power Saving on the phone
1Open the Quick settings panel.
Swipe down from the top of the screen to open theQuick settingspanel.
2Turn off Power saving.
If it's illuminated, tap thePower savingicon to turn off Power saving mode. This could be preventing notifications from displaying.
3Turn off Do not disturb.
If it's illuminated, tap theDo not disturbicon to disable this feature. This could also be blocking notifications.
Check Notification settings
Navigate toSettings, then tapNotifications, and then tap on App notifications then use the toggle in the following applications list to enable notifications for your applications
Enable lock screen notifications
Navigate toSettings, then tapNotifications, and then tap on Lock screen notificationsandthen enabe the toggle in the following menu.
Disable Power saving Mode
Navigate toSettings, then tap onBattery, and then disable the Power saving option.
Disable Data saver mode
Navigate toSettings, then tap onConnections, then tap on Data usagethen tap on Data saver and disable it.
Reset app preferences
Navigate toSettings, then tap onApps, then tap on the menu icon (The 3 dots on the top right of the screen),then tap on Reset app preferences and confirm by tapping on reset.
Prevent apps from deep sleep
Navigate toSettings, then tap onBattery, then tap on Background usage limits then toggle on the Put unused apps to sleep option.
Clear app cache
Navigate toSettings, then tap onApps, then choose the app you're facing an issue with, then tap on Storage then Clear Cache.
Update your apps from the Play store or galaxy store and update your Android Software
Navigate toSettings, then tap onApps, then choose the app you're facing an issue with, then tap on App details in storeand update it if there's an update available.
Then,Navigate toSettings andtap on Software Updateand tap on Download and install to check for updates.
