5 Warp Totem: Mountains
Its Utility Is Mostly Limited To Fishing And Gifts
Warp Totem: Mountains can be crafted using one Hardwood, one Iron Bar, and 25 Stone. Of all the totems, it is the simplest to make, and the least helpful. Throughout the game, several paths deem this totem next to useless for traversal. There is a path from the back of the farmer's house to the mountains, and when you unlock the Minecart, you’re able to travel from the Bus Stop to the Mines.
However, Warp Totem: Mountains is still convenient to have when you have a fishing quest that requires you to fish out of the mountain lake early in the morning. For example, there’s a help-wanted request where you need two Largemouth Bass. Other niche use cases include traveling to the mines first thing in the morning before you unlock the Minecart, and when you need to give someone who lives in the mountains a gift or item to fulfill a quest.
4 Warp Totem: Beach
For Fishing and Island Access
You can use one Hardwood, two Corals, and ten Fiber to create Warp Totem: Beach. This totem can be easy to find if you spend a lot of time foraging, as Stardew Valley players typically will.

This is helpful in a few ways. Firstly and most obviously, if you want to get to the beach quickly (since it’s such a long walk to the beach from your farm), it's perfect. Lastly, if you have to get to the island early in the morning and don’t have a Warp Totem: Island, this is the next best thing.

3 Warp Totem: Farm

With Hardwood, Honey, and Fiber, you can get your hands on a Warp Totem: Farm. The most difficult object to attain for this crafting recipe is the Honey, which you can get from a Bee House. While Honey has various uses, it's certainly worth keeping some aside for crafting this particular item.
A Stardew Valley day ends at 2:00 AM. If you’re still not in bed at that point, you’ll pass out and be charged a fee. Warp Totem: Farm is helpful for avoiding that. You can instantly return from anywhere, including from deep in the mines in the desert and from the Pirate Cove at Ginger Island.
2 Warp Totem: Desert
Reach Level 100 In The Skull Cavern
The Desert Totem is made using two pieces of Hardwood, one Coconut, and four Iridium Ore. It’s not too complicated to get these items, but it is difficult to get the recipe. You need to trade 10 Iridium Bars for it at the Desert Trader. If you can’t do that right away, you can purchase a Desert Totem for 3 Omni-Geodes.

The main reason to use the Desert Totem is to do a Skull Mine run. The bus that takes you to Calico Desert isn’t available until 10:00 AM, which is four hours into the day. To reach deeper levels (if you're trying to complete the grueling task of making it to level 100 for instance), you want to arrive as early as possible.
1 Warp Totem: Island
Easy Transfer to Ginger Island
The Island Totem is the most difficult to obtain. The Volcano Dwarf sells the recipe for a rather pricey 10,000g. From there, you can craft it using five Hardwood, one Ginger, and one Dragon Tooth (which can be hard to find). If you're looking for this rather elusive item, there are dragon remains in the Volcano Dungeon that occasionally have them, or there is a 15% chance of one dropping if you kill a Lava Lurk.
The only other way to the challenging Ginger Island is to make your way down to the beach, hop into Willy’s boat for 1000g, and take it over to the Island. This can be quite tedious and time-consuming, and so the totem makes moving between the valley and Ginger Island much more seamless. For that reason, it's perhaps the most useful of the Warp Totems.
