There’s two different options for claiming your rewards in ATOM: compounding and cashing in. With compounding, you will immediately add your newly received ATOM to your existing delegation. On the other hand, with cashing in, you will receive the ATOM generated by your delegation but they won’t be delegated.
It usually takes up to 21 days to unlock the ATOM you stake, depending on the Cosmos protocol. Learn more on the ATOM website.
You have full ownership of your ATOM when you stake through Ledger, unlike with crypto exchanges.
When staking with Ledger, you’re delegating your coin to a trusted validator that offers you great staking rewards and the best possible security. So there’s no need to spend time doing your own research to find a validator.
