Windows computers
In most cases, you should install the 64-bit version of Office 365. The 64-bit version is installed by default when you download it from Microsoft Online (UQ login required).
You should choose to install the 32-bit version if you still work with older applications and add-ins that may not be compatible.

You can't have both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions installed at the same time. You'll first need to uninstall the current version of Office 365on your computer.
Once you've uninstalled the current version, to change versions:
- Go toMicrosoft Online (UQ login required).
- Click on your profile icon at the top right of the screen.
- Select ‘View account’.
- Select 'Office apps' on the left menu.
- Select ’32-bit’ or ’64-bit’ in the ‘Version’ drop-down menu.
- Click ‘Install Office’.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
Mac computers
Only the 64-bit version of Office 365 is available forMac computers.
