Why does dbs keep asking me to set up my digital token? ›

If you have changed mobile devices, you will be prompted to set up your Digital Token when you first log in to digibank app on the new device. Upon successful set up, the Digital Token on your previous device will be automatically deregistered. For security, each customer can only have one device with a Digital Token.

Please ensure that your digibank app is up to date. Restart your phone and ensure your Android or iOS is running on the latest version. You may delete your digibank app and reinstall the latest version: You will then be prompted to set up your Digital Token when you first log in.

Digital tokens are either intrinsic or created by software and assigned a certain utility. Examples of intrinsic digital tokens are Bitcoin and Ether. The other type of digital token is asset-backed, which is issued to represent a claim on a redeemable asset, such as legal tender or precious metals.

A token can also "drift" when it is not used on a regular basis. Solution: You can fix the token by logging in with a passcode generated by the token three times in a row.

Using the Digital Token

How do I authenticate my online purchases using Digital Token? To authenticate your online purchases, either tap on the push notification sent to your mobile phone, or tap on the digibank/iWealth app icon. Once the app is launched, tap the button “Tap to approve” to complete your authentication.

You can download the DBS IDEAL Mobile app on your mobile device from the Google Play Store for Android and App Store for iOS and click on “First-time using IDEAL” to finish your first-time login. An Email and SMS OTP will be sent to you to enable your DBS IDEAL digital token+ during your first-time setup.

Non-receipt of Email OTP

Check your Junk Folder. Check if you have set any rules in place; and if the email is in another folder. Check if you have set any automated email forwarding. Update Your Email Address and resubmit transaction.
