1. First, select Applications, then Accessories, then Terminal to open a command-line terminal.
2. From there, type the command “$ uptime”
3. The uptime command will then tell you the current time, how long the system has been running for, how many users are currently logged on, and the averages for the system load in the last 5, 10, and 15 minutes.
