Can you get a refund on Airbnb if you don't like it? ›

While your personal opinions matter, they generally aren't a valid reason to get a refund on your Airbnb reservation. Unless the unit is materially different from what the host described or from the pictures in the listing, there isn't an option to get a refund just because you don't like the rental.

Turn on Instant Book

Another great hack when it comes to attracting initial bookings is to turn on Instant Book. Many travellers will select this as a filter when they search through listings so you will have more of a chance of getting picked up in searches if you have this switched on.

If you have an accepted reservation or confirmed experience, you can reach the Host by going to Trips, finding the reservation, and contacting the Host from there. If you have any co-travelers, you can invite them to join the reservation.

When you have a confirmed reservation, your Host's phone number will show in the reservation details for your trip so you can open the Airbnb app and call them. The Host's phone number won't show up after your stay (or if the reservation is canceled), but you can still send them a message.
