How to get out of DeX mode on Samsung tablet? ›

Disable DeX Mode

From the Samsung Dex screen, select Exit DeX. Note: Alternately, from the home screen, swipe down from the Notification bar with two fingers then select the DeX icon.

It lets you connect your phone or tablet to a monitor or TV for a larger and clearer view in desktop mode. It's also perfect for multitasking or using productivity apps, such as PowerPoint, that are easier to use on a big screen. You just need to set it up with a compatible DeX accessory.

Disable DEX Mode

From the Samsung DeX settings screen, select the Samsung DeX switch to place it in the Off position. DeX icon.

Method 2: Uninstall Samsung DeX via Apps and Features/Programs and Features. Look for Samsung DeX in the list and click on it. The next step is to click on uninstall, so you can initiate the uninstallation.

Check if your AT&T phone, Android® tablet, or mobile hotspot, is able to be unlocked. If you have an AT&T Prepaid® device, use the Unlock app if there's one available (make sure it's up to date). If not, submit your request online.

As its name indicates, screen mirroring mirrors your device screen on the connected monitor. Screen mirroring is helpful in some circ*mstances, but DeX offers a much different, completely optimized desktop computing experience for productive work on a larger screen. Tap the notification to go into DeX mode.

What is the alternative to DeX mode? ›

Note: There are some settings that cannot be changed in Samsung DeX; they will be grayed out. You must access Samsung DeX via your phone's Settings to adjust DeX related settings. To change any unavailable settings, first disconnect your device from DeX, and then navigate back to the Settings menu.

You can switch between Tablet and PC modes on your Samsung Galaxy Pro S. Swipe right towards the centre of the screen to access the Action Centre, then tap Tablet Mode. To return to PC Mode, tap Tablet Mode again. Alternatively, you can switch between Tablet and PC modes by going into Settings->System->Tablet Mode.
