What is the minimum payment for prolific? ›

Get fair payment – fast

All participants receive a guaranteed minimum of $8 or £6 an hour, with instant cash-outs after your first 4 payments. Some studies even pay hourly rates of $20+ with additional bonuses.

When will I be invited off the waitlist? Invites are sent out based on supply and demand in the demographics of our participant pool. This means some participants wait 6 hours for an invite and others six months or more.

Getting started is simple. With no contract or subscription – just a transparent platform fee for each completed response.

Keep in mind that Prolific has a cap on the number of rejections you can do. If it goes beyond 20-25% submission, you won't be able to do it without reaching out to Prolific support. Pro tip: instead of rejecting, reach out to participants and ask them to return their seats, or you will reject their submission.

All participants are paid in GBP and/or USD via Paypal. We only allow participants to be paid via monetary rewards on Prolific. That means that you cannot offer to pay or reward participants with other forms of payment (e.g. vouchers, gift cards etc.).

The federal minimum wage for covered nonexempt employees is $7.25 per hour. Many states also have minimum wage laws. In cases where an employee is subject to both the state and federal minimum wage laws, the employee is entitled to the higher of the two minimum wages.

Getting paid for a study

If they approve your submission then the study reward will automatically be credited to your account. This usually takes a matter of days, but can sometimes take longer. After 22 days, submissions are automatically approved by Prolific and the payment is added to your account.

Researchers have up to 22 days to review submissions, but they usually do it much sooner! If a study is not reviewed in 22 days it will be automatically approved by Prolific.

Getting on a college waitlist means that an applicant has all the necessary qualifications and has been fully reviewed by an admissions counselor; however, the school could not offer them a letter of acceptance at that time.

What is the difference between prolific and MTurk? ›

Prolific protects researcher and participant privacy. Our research rules and anonymous in-app messaging system help you chat freely and safely about your studies. MTurk doesn't list how many active participants they have, but claim to have a total pool of 500,000.

Studies are posted on Prolific daily, so you'll have plenty to choose from. We have systems in place to share studies equally among our participants, and our researchers screen for their target audience, so don't fret if you haven't seen a study in a while. You may see studies labeled as an 'ongoing study.

At Prolific, we have our own ethical payment principles. We implement a minimum hourly reward of £6/$8 to ensure all participants are paid fairly. However, as mentioned above, higher payments can impact data quality. So, we recommend paying participants at least £9/$12 per hour.

The minimum monthly payment is the least amount of money a borrower can pay on a revolving credit account each month and still remain in good standing with a credit card company.

Meaning of minimum amount due in Credit Card
