Character traits are defined as the individual qualities or attributes that make up a person's overall character. These descriptions can be physical, emotional, mental, or moral. Every person is made up of many different traits or qualities, and these can also change over the course of someone's life.

Positive Psychology's Six Virtues

The 24 character strengths are organized under the six virtues of: wisdom and knowledge; humanity; justice; courage; temperance; and transcendence. Wisdom and Knowledge – Strengths of wisdom and knowledge are cognitive strengths related to the acquisition and use of information.

Positive Character Trait Definitions. Accepting - Able or willing to accept something or someone. Admiring - Feeling or showing esteem and admiration for someone or something; warm approval. Brave - Ready to face and endure danger, pain, difficulty or challenges; showing courage; courageous, fearless, valiant.

Negative qualities are almost similar to character weaknesses such as shyness, lack of confidence, self-criticism, or arrogance. Negative character traits don't allow us to reach our goals and use our full potential either in social relationships or at the workplace.
