The commercial banking system includes three U.S. foreign-branch banks: Citibank, which operates six full-service Citibank branches in key locations in Metro Manila and Metro Cebu; Bank of America; and JP Morgan Chase. Two U.S. banks have representative offices in the country: Wells Fargo Bank and Bank of New York Mellon.
Reflecting a long history of economic and political ties, all commercial banks in the Philippines have correspondent U.S. banking relationships. The best way for a firm to determine whether its U.S. bank has a correspondent bank in the Philippines is by checking with the U.S. bank.
