We’re waiting for a new Petitions Committee
Petitions had to stop because of the recent general election. Once a new Petitions Committee is set up by the House of Commons, petitions will start again.

UK banks are blocking ordinary citizens from withdrawing funds from registered cryptocurrency exchanges to their accounts. These individuals, who have already paid taxes on their income, have invested in cryptocurrency as a means of improving their future financial situation.
More details
This practice is not only unfair but also counterproductive. The government encourages citizens to pay capital gains tax on cryptocurrency profits; however, this becomes impossible if people cannot access their own funds.
We urge the relevant authorities to reconsider these restrictive policies and allow law-abiding citizens access to their rightfully earned money. This will promote financial inclusivity and uphold the principles of fairness that underpin our society.

About petition data
The data shows the number of people who have signed the petition by country as well as in the constituency of each Member of Parliament. This data is available for all petitions on the site. It is not a list of people who have signed the petition. The only name that is shared on the site is that of the petition creator.
